This cheerfully illustrated hardback picture book is a fantastic way to acquaint young readers with Greta Thunberg, pioneering climate activist.
When young Greta learned of the climate crisis she couldn't understand why people in power were not doing anything to save our Earth. One day she started protesting outside the Swedish Parliament, creating the "School Strike for Climate." Soon, lots more young people joined her in a global movement that made adults and politicians take note. She had found her voice and uses it to inspire humans to action with her powerful message: "No one is too small to make a difference."
This delightful series (Little People, Big Dreams) introduces young readers to outstanding people, from designers and artists to scientists. All of them achieved incredible things, yet each began life as a child with a dream. At the back of this book there is a facts and photo section to support the story told (great for parents and older children hungry for a few more details).
Also in this series - Jane Goodall, Amelia Earhart, Emmeline Pankhurst, Agatha Christie, Maya Angelou, Coco Chanel and Frida Kahlo.
Recommended for children 5 - 8 years.
